It is with extreme sadness that I announce the end of a beautiful journey
with my soul mate, best friend, and Dad to Kelly, LLOYD DRIEDGER, at St. Paul’s
Hospital Palliative Care on November 14, 2015, at the age of 61 years. Lloyd will
be lovingly remembered by his wife, Irene: son Kelly, daughter-in-law Tammi, grandchildren Jayden, Keira and Kyler, mother Susanna, twin sister, Donna, and brothers Ron and Les, Irene’s mother, Elizabeth Harpauer, Irene’s sisters, Dianne
and Joanne, many nieces and nephews and numerous dear friends plus all of his
Northern Resource Trucking family. Lloyd is predeceased by dear father-in-law
John Harpauer and brother-in-law, Larry Harpauer. He loved his family very much, as we loved him: we are lost without him. Lloyd and Irene created a beautiful home in the Village of Clavet, where he loved tending his immaculate yard. He proudly served two terms as a Councilor in Clavet. He was so proud of being a part of Northern Resource Trucking for over 15 years. Being Safety and Compliance Manager was something in which he took great pride in and spent many hours on the ice roads in Northern Saskatchewan. He volunteered as President to Lupus SK Society for twelve years. He also loved traveling the world, and we enjoyed our numerous trips together very much. He was the best travel partner ever! He loved camping and teaching his grandchildren the basics of life such as riding their two-wheeled bicycles and to enjoy nature, God’s creation. Words cannot describe his strength and courage through his last 32 months journey with pancreatic cancer. He never complained, never became angry or shared any negative manners through this time. Even during those last days at Palliative Care, all the nurses were inspired by his ‘million dollar smile’. God was very important in his life. Donations can be made to Palliative Care, c/o St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation. We have spoke with Palliative Care Unit of the very specific needs of this unit. Lloyd’s Memorial funds will be designated for those items in memory of him. Many thanks to that precious unit as they gave loving care to Lloyd for the last 5 weeks of his life here on Earth. Prayers will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th St., first right past Briargate Rd.) Thursday November 19th at 7:00PM, funeral will be held at Rock of Ages Church, 103 Kingsmere Place on Friday November 20th at 1:00PM. November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, if attending feel free to wear Purple, even a little to help raise awareness of this deadly disease. Family and friends may send online condolences from www.hillcrestmemorial.ca
