<div itemprop="description">Judy passed away peacefully June 2, 2014 with family at her side at her home in Stensrud Lodge. Judy was born on April 19, 1917 in Allan, SK to parents Kasimer and Magdalena Schatz. Judy grew up on the family farm and took her schooling at Prairie Home School at Allan and Breezy Bray School in Elstow. She worked as housekeeper and governess for country doctors in the area. A move to Saskatoon followed. It was here that she married then moved to Sheho to farm where Jane and Dianne were born. A return to Saskatoon and Brenda was born. Judy worked at St. Paul&rsquo;s Hospital for 15 years, and raised her family retiring from work at age 65. Her second career was spending time with and looking after her grandchildren. Judy loved to make things (crafting), sewing, knitting and needlepoint which she loved to give to family. Judy did not drive, walking was how she got around the city, other than taking a bus. She is survived by her children: Jane Dyck, Dianne (Alfie) Pocha, Brenda (Wayne) McNeil, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild as well as 7 brothers and sisters. She was predeceased by 5 sons, 3 died in childbirth and 2 in infancy: Claude and Glenn and six brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne&rsquo;s Roman Catholic Church (217 Lenore Drive, Saskatoon, SK) with private interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in Judy&rsquo;s name may be made to Stensrud Lodge (2202 McEown Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7J 3L6).
