The family of Eleanor Vera Thomsen are sad to announce her peaceful passing which occurred at St. Paul’s Hospital, her family gathered together at her side. Born to parents Rudolph and Helen, she was raised in Perdue, the youngest of 8 children. Eleanor left the farm as a young lady and lived and worked in the City and Vancouver. She enjoyed Vancouver and the train ride, travelling back and forth. She left the farm and the Prairie, but it never left her, and one of her return trips brought her back to settle in Saskatoon, where she lived the rest of her life. While raising her family she became an excellent cook, baker and gardener. She was very resourceful and always found the time and a way for all else she selflessly did for her family and for others.
