<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that Ed’s family announce his passing on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016 at Central Haven Special Care Home. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise; daughter, Debra (Mike) Herman; son, Don; son-in-law, Larry Woytowich; granddaughter, Jill; 2 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, John (1947); mother, Ann (1975); sister, Sophie (1988); brother, Ernie (1997); and daughter, Donna (2007).<br><br>Ed was employed at Labatt’s for 43 years (1946-1989). In Ed’s early years, he enjoyed skating, downhill skiing, traveling, camping, waterskiing, summer holidays at Waskesiu and family gatherings – especially the Pillipow 100th year reunion in 1993. He was a member of the Antique Auto Club and enjoyed having coffee with his friends.<br><br>It was Ed’s request that there not be a funeral. Cremation entrusted to Hillcrest Crematorium.<br>A private interment will take place at a later date.<br><br>Special thanks to Dr. Brian Martens for dad’s care over the last 20 years, the many Home Care personnel visits and most recently the staff at Central Haven Special Care Home.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s memory may be made directly to the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation (1738 Quebec Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9), Parkinson Canada - Saskatchewan (610 Duchess St, Saskatoon, SK S7K 0R1) or to a charity of one’s choice.<br><br>Condolences may be emailed to the family at www.hillcrestmemorial.ca <br><br>Arrangements entrusted to Carley Brown<br></div>
