Chad Simon passed away suddenly and far too soon on October 22, 2016 in Dundurn Saskatchewan and leaves behind his loving wife and soulmate Shan Simon and furbabies Yogi and Milton. He will also be greatly missed by his parents Eloyd and Sandra Simon, sisters Tarra (James) Dubreuil (Martial, Shannon) and Ashley Simon. His mother-in-law Calla Varty, sister in law Cara (Ed) Pearce (Colby, Zander), sister- in-law Maigan Varty, brother-in-law Landon Abernethy, as well as grandparents Margaret Lipinski, Freda Omer, Harold Simon and John (Genivieve) Lipinski, grandma and sparring partner Ruth Varty, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers and the 3 other misguided Indianapolis Colts fans.
Chad Edward Simon was born in Prince George, BC on September 22, 1984, moving to Dawson Creek, BC when he was 6 and spent his school years there. Chad was an accomplished chef and loved coming home to be with Shan and spending time in their house and on the computer or outdoors quading, boating or fishing. Chad was a “what you see is what you get” guy who was quick to smile and a warm generous personality that instantly drew people to him. Chad was a champion of the underdog and wouldn’t hesitate to stand up to injustices and inequities, and he was always among the first to help out when people were in need giving selflessly and often in anonymity. Chad spent the last 10 years in the oil and gas industry first as a pipeline laborer, then an equipment operator and finally for the last few years as a supervisor for Ledcor. Chad was kind to people and animals equally and would often volunteer as a dog walker at the SPCA in the communities he worked in. Chad was a loving husband, wonderful son, generous brother, great friend, good boss and one of the true good guys. Godspeed and roll coal Chad.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the gofundme account set up in his name.
