<div itemprop="description">Margaret passed away Friday morning, June 3, 2016, at St. Paul’s Hospital, at the age of 93 years. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Dianne (Warren) Henn, grandsons Jeff (Carrie) Gosselin, Kurtis Gosselin, and granddaughter Chantelle Gosselin (Sean Palmer); son Larry (Sharon) Teneycke, granddaughter Kassandra (David) Severson and eight great-grandchildren: Kelsey and Konnor Teneycke; Zach, Saphina, and Oriana Gosselin; Kody Palmer; Jay and Matthew Severson. Margaret is predeceased by her parents Bjarne and Mabel Thoner; sisters Thora, Gladys and Olga; brothers Elmer, Olaf and Melvin; and grandson Jason Teneycke. Margaret was remarried to Art MacDonald in October 1993 who passed away suddenly a few months later. Margaret grew up with her family in the Norwegian settlement south of Young, Saskatchewan. In 1945, together with husband Floyd, they began farming in the Young district south of Zelma. They farmed for 40 years until their retirement and in 1978 they built a home and retired in Young. They enjoyed 13 more years together. Many enjoyable times were spent with family and friends, golfing, curling and wintering in southern California where many new long-lasting friendships were formed. In 2001 Margaret moved to a condo in Saskatoon where she again met and formed new friendships. She spent 10 years there until her move to assisted living in Luther Riverside Terrace where she enjoyed excellent care for another five years. The family wishes to thank all those who have expressed their sympathies, have cared for, and have been involved in mom’s life over the years. It is with great sadness we mourn the loss of a beautiful, gracious, caring mother; grandmother; great grandmother and friend to all who knew her. A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held Monday, June 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th St, first right past Briargate Rd). Lunch and refreshments will immediately follow the service. Interment at the Zelma Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to: Zelma United Church Heritage Site Cemetery Fund (c/o Sandra Yausie, 122 Overholt Crescent, Saskatoon, SK S7N 4S9) or Bethel Historic Society (Box 137, Young, SK S0K 4Y0). Arrangements entrusted to Wally Markewich.</div>
