<div itemprop="description">The family of Manley Gordon Fairburn sadly announces his sudden passing January 8, 2017. Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 62 years, Helen, children, Deborah (Robert), Dianne and Douglas (Kim). Manley also leaves behind five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.<br>Manley was predeceased by his father Lloyd, mother Beatrice and brother Eldon. Manley was born and raised in the Delisle district. During his youth, Manley displayed a passionate interest in electronics. This served him well as he worked in this field most of his life. He also had an avid interest in anything automotive. He turned many wrenches during his lifetime. He was a member of the Saskatoon Antique Auto Club for many years. Manley enjoyed his time on the farm and participated in gardening with Helen. Harvesting of the crops was his favorite time of the year. Camping with his family created cherished memories over many summers. During retirement Manley and Helen continued their enjoyment of camping with the Wandering Wheels trailer club. He had a great interest in history and read many books on this subject especially true stories about prairie life. Manley was also a devoted member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He contributed to many roles in the organization from age 18 until his passing. The Funeral Service for Manley will be on held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Mount Royal Emmanuel Church (521 Vancouver Avenue North, Saskatoon). A family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Visual Research and Equipment Foundation, 1156 Gryphons Walk; Regina, SK S4S 6X1) would be greatly appreciated.
