<div itemprop="description">It is with profound sadness, yet overwhelming relief, that we announce the passing of Judy Anne Wald in St. Paul’s Palliative Care, Sunday, August 21, 2016, peacefully and surrounded by her family. After an almost 20 year battle with cancer, the battle was lost, but a valiant fight took place. Judy was born December 7, 1947 in Wilkie, Sask. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 48 ½ years, Raymond; son Cory (Carmen); daughter Stacey (Craig Popescu); grandchildren Makenzie, Zakary, Kassidy and her siblings Pat (Howard Benson), Carol (John Loerzel), Marlene (Allan Irwin), Cindy (Tom Winterhalt), Bill (Darlene) Weber. She is also survived by Ray’s family and many nieces and nephews. At Judy’s request, there will be no funeral service, but a get-together for family and close friends will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th St, first right past Briargate Rd). A special thank you to the nurses, doctors, CCA’s and all the staff at St. Paul’s Palliative Care and Palliative Home Care for the tender loving care shown us as we journeyed. Also thank you to Dr. Iqubal, Dr. Emmera, all the nurses, chemo staff, at the Saskatoon Cancer Center, who over the past 20 years have made our journey more bearable, and to all our family and friends for all the support, trips to and from the hospital, food, well wishes, phone calls, sitting services…thank you does not seem enough. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Judy’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society (1910 McIntyre St., Regina, SK S4P 2R3) or St. Paul’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit (1702 20th St W, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9).
