Jeffrey was born in Prince Albert on February 7, 1972. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Saskatoon where he attended the Children’s Rehab Centre, John Dolan School and lastly Cosmopolitan Industries. Jeff is survived by his parents Eugene and Audrey Dauk, his sister Michele (Don Sthamann) and daughters Lindsay and Nicole and his brother Russell (Marita) and their family Brennan, Morgan, Griffin and Tatum. He also leaves his “Buddy Bill”.
Jeffrey shared with many his love of sports and music. Nothing better than winning a bet on his beloved Riders! He could always be counted upon for surprising pieces of insight – often in the middle of Father’s homily! He taught us all how to look past our burdens and limitations in life and to take joy in what has been given us. If the measure of a man’s life is his effect on those around him, then Jeffrey’s life was a tremendous success! Despite the disabilities that Jeff lived with, all those who knew him were touched by his joy and faith.
Thanks to all who cared for Jeff and especially to Claus Baender and to Linda Davidson and her family. We greatly appreciated the palliative care team, particularly Jocelyn D’Eon. A big hug from all of us to Sister Carol!
Jeffrey was a devoted member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church (1202 Avenue O South) where a prayer vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 2. A celebration of Jeff’s life will take place on Tuesday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m., again at St. John Bosco with Fr. Ron Beechinor officiating. Donations to Cosmopolitan Industries (28 – 34th St. E, Saskatoon, SK S7K 3Y2) in Jeffrey’s memory would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be sent from www.hillcrestmemorial.ca Arrangements entrusted to Paula Olson.
