<div itemprop="description">The passing of Clara Ivy occurred on October 8th, 2014 at Royal University Hospital. Clara's passing was swift and painless. Clara was born in Paddockwood, SK, living in many areas as a child ending up in Saskatoon. She clerked at T. Eaton and Company for many years and briefly for Macleods. Clara was a past member of the Mariam Rebekah Lodge and the Saskatoon Scandinavian Club. She also enjoyed many years 5 pin bowling. Clara met Soren Larsen in 1960 on a blind date and married in 1961. While through the majority of their 50 year marriage she was a homemaker raising their 2 children. Clara resided at their residence up until a brief stay in hospital just prior to her passing. She was predeceased by her husband Soren (2012), parents G. Franklin (1990) and Ivy (1986), brothers Franklin (2012), Glen (2012), Earl (2013), Vernon (1938), sister Linda (1998) as well as numerous brothers and sisters- in-law, nieces and nephews. Clara will be lovingly remembered by daughter Kamma; son Karsten (Rita); grandsons<br />Cory (Jennifer Rolleston), Jared (Chloe Pulleng); step-grandchildren James (Melanie), Tina, Amber, Samantha (Scott), Debbie, and April (Justin); 2 great-grandchildren and 13 step great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Fraser, brother Allan (Jeanette) Gordon, sister-in-law Joan Walker-Gordon, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. We, the family of Clara Larsen would like to thank the staff of 5020 RUH that cared for Mom. Particularly the nurses for their unwavering care and friendliness. Thank you for making Mom feel at home as much as possible. <br />In lieu of flowers mom asked for donations to charity of one&rsquo;s choice. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th St., first right past Briargate Rd). Arrangements entrusted to Charmaine Menard.<br /></div>
