<div itemprop="description">Ben Czemeres passed away suddenly at RUH on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the age of 87 after a short battle with cancer. Dad was born on the family farm near Dysart, SK. Ben was the only remaining and youngest sibling of 8 children. Ben is lovingly remembered by his wife Josie; daughter Irene (Brian) of Saskatoon; sons Brad (Candace) of Saskatoon and Ted of Lanigan; his 5 grandchildren Darren (Amber), Wade (Susan), Taryn (Steven), Kale and Tanner; two great-grandchildren Bailey and Megan Fawcett; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Dad and Mom would have celebrated their 65th anniversary this year. Ben was a handyman and enjoyed spending spare time in his shop tinkering with his beloved John Deere garden tractors and other projects. In earlier years, he spent much time with his kids, camping, fishing and playing sports. There was no camping trip or hockey game that was &ldquo;too far&rdquo;. He was actively involved in 4H and Boy Scouts. He was dedicated to the church and was active in the Knights of Columbus. Whenever something needed fixing we could count on him to not just to fix it, but to show us how. Ben was employed as a grain buyer for 42 years. He lived and served in the communities of Dysart, Dafoe, Meacham, ending his career in Viscount. Ben and Josie retired to the Resort Village of Big Shell Lake and later to Saskatoon. Ben will be missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at RUH for their care and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Philip Neri Parish (1902 Munroe Ave. Saskatoon). In lieu of flowers, donations in Ben&rsquo;s memory may be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan (1231 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5) or the Saskatchewan Cancer Clinic (20 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 4H4). Family and friends may send online condolences from www.hillcrestmemorial.ca Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Charmaine Menard.</div>
