<div itemprop="description">With heavy hearts the family of Sherry Hudson announce her passing on Thursday March 30, 2017. Sherry passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer at St. Paul’s Hospital at the age of 52 years old. Sherry was born July 11, 1964 in Saskatoon to Bob and Leona Lightfoot. She is predeceased by her mother, Leona Lightfoot, in 2001. Sherry is survived by her husband, Bryan; her children Travis (Whitney) and Heather (Richard); her father, Bob Lightfoot; her brothers Keith (Rhonda) and nephews Eric and Ben; Terry and nieces Kyra (Roan) and Monique (Alex) and grand-nephew Charlie Finn; and Cory (Sue) and nephew Luke. She is also survived by her 4-legged children Kelly, Maggie, Kody, Mickey and Buster and her grand-dogs Guinness, Fidget and Winter. <br> <br>A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held on Friday April 7, 2017 at 5:00pm at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, first right past Briargate Road). This will be followed by a celebration ceilidh at the same location from 6:00pm-10:00pm. Dogs are welcome and Scottish attire is encouraged. <br> <br>The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Saskatoon Kennel and Obedience Club, the Wilson School of Highland Dance and the Saskatoon Highland Dancing Association for their continued support throughout Sherry’s life. <br> <br>Donations in Sherry’s memory may be made to the Saskatoon Highland Dancing Association (1701 Ruth St E, Saskatoon, SK, S7J 0L7). <br></div>
