<div itemprop="description">Youngest son of Cecil and Isabelle Legge of Rosetown, Ron passed away after a long, brave battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Ron was one of the last children to attend the one room school in the Egremont district near Rosetown. He was taught by Mrs. Jean Patmon and was honoured to recently attend her 60th wedding anniversary. Ron met Hilda (Reekie) at a ball game and they were married March 31, 1957 and had five children: Ken (Irene Ostapowich), Gerald, Brenda Yuzdepski, David (Melanie) and Linda and were blessed with 9 very special grandkids: Ryan, Troy, Kyle, Davis, Sophia, Bettina, Devon, Mercedes and Chelsea. Ron had a variety of careers throughout his life including driving a transit bus for the City of Saskatoon for 14 years, moving to Elrose to become a bulk fuel agent for 12 years, returning to Saskatoon to work for the SK Department of Parks, build homes and finally becoming a delivery driver for a local pharmacy. During each of his careers he made friends and people laugh with his quick wit and sometimes corny jokes. Ron enjoyed carpentry, watching various types of crops grow throughout the season, camping, old time fiddle music, square dancing, travelling and most of all driving all the grandkids to various activities such as school, music lessons and sporting activities. Ron was predeceased by sisters Hannah and Audrey, brother Ivor, brother in law Don Saunders and grandson Troy. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Hilda; his children and grandchildren and sisters Florence (John) Giovanetto and Bernice Saunders as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. R. Parker and Aafke, Dr. M. Harington, Dr. V. Walker and all the staff at St. Paul's Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their kind and compassionate care. A Celebration of Ronald&rsquo;s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Ronald&rsquo;s name may be made to St. Paul's Hospital Foundation (1702 - 20th Street West Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9). Family and friends may send online condolences from www.hillcrestmemorial.ca Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Charmaine Menard.</div>
