<div itemprop="description">With heavy hearts we announce Carlyle’s passing on Sunday, January 29, 2017. With his wife and family by his side he was relieved of his suffering at the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital. <br><br>Lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years Betty and his children Michelle (Dave McKenzie) and grandson Nicholas and Darren (Tanya) and grandchildren Robert and Jolene. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother Lorne (Ethel), his in-laws, Joyce, Elmer (Joan), Gladys, Ilene (Fred), Joan (Gary), Allan (Brenda) and numerous nieces and nephews. <br><br>Carlyle was predeceased by his parents Bert and Ruth Hall and brothers-in-law Tom and Paul. <br><br>Dad was a kind and gentle husband, father and grandfather who always greeted everyone with a smile on his face. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He served on the Board of Directors for both the Saskatoon Association of the Deaf and the Canadian Association of the Deaf. He received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002. He enjoyed both playing and watching curling and was an avid fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Calgary Flames. <br><br>The family would like to thank St. Paul’s Palliative Care for their care and compassion in Dad’s final days. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carlyle may be made to the Saskatchewan Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services (#3-511 1st Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1X5) or St Paul’s Palliative Care (1702 20th St West, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0W2).</div>
