<div itemprop="description">With sadness and wonderful memories we announce the peaceful passing of Millie Morgan, age 96, on January 18 at Oliver Lodge in Saskatoon. She was predeceased by her husband Howard in November 2015 after 69 years of marriage. She is survived by her only daughter Lynn (Neil) Matthews and granddaughters Ashley (David) McDine and Whitney (Dallas) Matthews, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Millie and her twin Marvin Bowman started life together August 30, 1920 on the family farm outside Hawarden, Sask. In 1943 she enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force, serving overseas. Upon returning she started work at Nuttal’s Drug Store and ice cream parlor where her and Howard met. They eloped July 26, 1946 and spent the next 40 years farming. On retiring they moved to Outlook and resided there until August 2014 then on to Saskatoon due to medical needs. Millie was well known for her baking and canning. There was always something to be made from a pail of raspberries, crabapples, cucumbers, etc. She also enjoyed various forms of handiwork. Tea was quickly served whenever there was a visitor. Our appreciation and thanks are extended to the caring and supportive staff of Oliver Lodge. Following her wishes, there will be no funeral services. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.hillcrestmemorial.ca Donations in memory of Millie may be directed to Kinsmen Telemiracle (2217C Hanselman Crt, Saskatoon, SK S7L 6A8) or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Samantha Cheal.</div>
