<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jim Piper at the age of 65 on Saturday, June 27, 2015, beloved husband, father and grandfather. Jim was a very active person, not only in his home but also in his community. He was an ironworker for 25 years and he owned the store in Sunset Estates from 1999 to 2007, the other years he filled with woodworking in his garage, coffee chats with friends and helping neighbours. Jim was involved in Sunset Estates Community Association and Volunteer Fire Department. Jim was born in Winnipeg, MB and with his father in the air force his family moved to Calgary in 1955 where he lived until 1976. He then moved to Saskatoon where he met and married Gerri and they had 38 memorable years of marriage. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gerri (ne&eacute; Tisnic); children Tammy Piper, Cherie (Mark) Williams, Jaimie Piper and Kiel (Desiree) Piper; grandchildren Darren and Matthew Williams, and Chayce Piper; stepmother, Shirley Piper; mother-in-law, Lillian Tisnic; siblings Kathy Meston, Tom (Brenda) Piper, Stephen (Sharon) Piper and Doug (Debbie) Prodahl; in-laws Gloria (Don) George, Gary Tisnic (Barb Luman) and Kelvin (Linda) Tisnic, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jim is predeceased by his father, Arthur Piper; mother Jean (ne&eacute; Fulton) Piper; father-in-law Anton Tisnic; brother-in-law Grant Meston and nephew Travis Tisnic. A special thank you to Cindy and many others from Saskatoon Health Region Home Care for all your help and support.
