A. Grant Botham

Alan (Grant) Botham passed away peacefully on October 20, 2016 at RUH, beloved husband of Leona (Lee) Botham of Saskatoon. He will also be lovingly remembered by: sister and brother-in-law Betty Anne and Bert Ayers, sister-in-law Ruth Botham, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Grant was predeceased by his parents Art and Petra Botham, brothers Chester (Wilda) Botham and Harvey Botham. Grant was born in Birch Hills and completed his schooling there. He was a Veteran of WWII. Upon returning as a Veteran he attended the University of Saskatchewan to complete a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Grant went on to complete a 34 year career with the Government of Canada in Public Service. Grant married the love of his life Leona (Lee) Suchan in 1953 and they continued a loving relationship for 63 years.
Upon retirement, Grant spent his summers as an avid golfer at the Saskatoon Golf and Country Club and in the winter as a curler at the Nutana Curling Club. In both venues he achieved many recognitions.
A Celebration of Grant’s Life will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
